The Doctor of Law is the highest proficiency or qualification in the faculty of law. It is a doctorate degree in law. The relevance of this term differs from nation to nation and embraces degrees such as the Dr. iur., J.S.D., Ph.D., and LL.D. In the United States, the Doctor of Laws refers to an honorary degree. The Doctor of Law degree is recognized as the “most advanced law degree” by Stanford University, New York University, Georgetown Law, and Yale Law School.

Bar Examination

A bar examination is an examination, which determines whether a candidate is eligible to practice law in a given jurisdiction. In the United States, bar examinations are administered by agencies of individual states. This examination in most U.S. states is two days long. It is a standardized test consisting of several questions, which test Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code that is valid all over the United States and six subjects based upon principles of common law.

LSAT

Law School Admission Test (LSAT)

LSAT is an examination in the United States, Australia, and Canada governed by the LSAC (Law School Admission Council) for prospective law school candidates. It is an exam required for all ABAs (American Bar Association – a voluntary bar association of law students and lawyers) approved law schools. This standardized test is conducted four times each year at selected examination centers all over the world.
